The Unknown Need for Vacations

How do you know you’ve been working too hard?

  • You start seeing workmates more than your family
  • When a problem occurs, you often research solutions at home during dinner
  • You forget to feed your fish
  • You forget to feed yourself some fish
  • You dream about work, and subsequently come up with brilliant ideas
  • You buy RAM for your PC at work to be more efficient
  • Your fish dies
  • You feed the street cats your dead fish and see what happens (wait, why?)
  • Your life seems to revolve around work, leaving no room for anything else
  • You install Ubuntu on workmates’ laptops
  • You eat more turkey

I’ve got all the above symptoms, and thus decided to take a nice week off along with the Eid holiday.  When you detach yourself from work, you wonder what else is there to do?  The days seem far longer than previously imagined.

I know I’ve been neglecting my blog, my music, and anything that’s remotely close to creative.  However, I have no excuse this time :)  I really enjoyed writing, and loved reading comments.  Heck, I’m feeling elated just writing this post.

Thus, once I get myself listed on Safat again, I’ll hopefully be more active on the blog front.  I miss everyone.

Now I’ll go nag at the heroes of Kuwaitblogs.  If anyone else could help, that would be appreciated!  I’ll give you a sandwich.

Turkey, not fish.  I’m not that cruel.  I only do that to street cats and my nephews.

Ok, that was insensitive of me.  I’ll rephrase:  I only do that to my nephews.

Qst: Is the week before or after eid. If it's after eid, you have no excuse to postpone the date anymore (NOTICE: we're not gays, just geek friends on a geek date. Nothing wrong with that)

You seem already listed in KuwaitBlogs, and if not, we will all protest and write post about striking from KuwaitBlogs. Only problem is, our striking posts will be published on KuwaitBlogs :(

Bashar: Your insistence on calling it a "date" is just scary :p And yup, I'm listed on Safat, but the feed is pointing to the wrong link.

ĐǻñĎõøðñ Trust me, they're EVIL!

I am glad you’re taking a vacation! Let’s hope we see you at our base HQ!

Write about Mirror's edge for example ;)

I won't buy ps3/xbox360 though! PC version release date will be in 2009 :s

left4dead has 4 co-op online, me snake omaro (missing our demolition expert! Yah! yoOou) It's on Steam! No Insert CD Crap needed.
Along with GTA4, it has online multiplayer too! Will be released in a week! I'll be in Lebanon :(

See ya m8~

PS: Date = Gay! Stick to your beliefs I support you.

GS: 3ajeeba Mirror's Edge. Why don't you guys get Xbox Live? It's far more fun for party playing, without the need for all the headaches of teamspeak, that network thing, connectivity and crashes. walla awnas tara.

Now that I look back at the comments I caused, I feel guilty.

What do you think they will say if they knew our date was Madagascar movie and some Go Sport spending :P
It wasn't geeky enough though I should insist :). Next time no movies.
